First things first…
Hurray this is my first ever blog post so to start with I have to thank the previous Insight Ambassadors that we are taking over from. I hope we will be able to do just as an amazing job as they did.
So what is all this and why you should read it?
This is going to be a weekly blog about university life in general as well all the fun things connected to it . And apart from great stories and the like there will be plenty of helpful information and tips. And the best bit is you can also find us on twitter and on Facebook. I have never used twitter before so that will be fun to start working with. Apart from me there are Jacob, Paige, Rhys and Kayleigh who will also write blogs, make sure to check them out.
As for why you should read all this, we are the people stuck right in the middle of university life so what better way to find out about it. And well, you suffered through this much of my writing already so you must enjoy it somewhat …I hope.
Who is this strange person writing this blog?
I should have possibly started with this bit, my name is Leonie and am 20 years old and am currently studying Observational Astronomy. Originally I am from Germany but have been living in the UK for the last four years now. Going back and forth all the time definitely is not that easy especially as I have to try and stuff my entire life into a suitcase with a 23kg weight restriction. I still go back a lot as my family still lives there together with my three dogs. All my life we used to have Labradors though now we also have a little dachshund, who we are convinced is secretly plotting to take over the world. I have a mild Dr. Who addiction and have been running the board game society for a year now, which is great fun. Otherwise I guess there is not much to say about me. I am generally out and about on the Glyntaff campus, so feel free to talk to me. And as I said you can find us on Facebook and twitter as well.
That’s all from me for now, and as ending a blog seems to be even more difficult then starting it, and because i really can’t pull of saying cheerio, I will just finish off with one of my favourite quotes:
“So long and thanks for all the fish.”
